NHAHA SHARE FAIR PROJECT

The New Haven Area Heritage Association is working to restore the Historic 1895 Wabash Railroad Depot, situated on State Street New Haven. The building is listed in the National Register of Historic Places and will have a new life as the Trail Head/Rest Area and focal point on the trails network. N.H.A.H.A is now working to raise $140.000 as matching funds for this restoration work. A large sum but very attainable with your support.

    FACTS
  1. One man’s trash is another man’s treasure (Just check out auctions/flea markets and garage sales)
  2. When a family moves it finds all sorts of things that are no longer needed,
had been forgotten, items that don’t justify sending to auction or holding a yard sale. So items that have interest and value to another, finish up in landfills because the connection was not there. This NHAHA program will provide that connection.

Where do you as a REALTOR fit into this project? Any additional service you can offer your clients can be beneficial to your business.
Simply draw the client’s attention to the opportunity of
(a) FREE disposal of all unwanted effects prior to, or at time of move.
(b) Support a local project that enhances the quality of life within the area. Give each new client a NHAHA Project leaflet.

WHAT DO YOU GAIN? There is absolutely no cost to you to be part of this project. We are, in addition, proposing that in return for your support, 30% of all income will be paid back equally to all registered Realtor members and it takes just one active referral to qualify.

All project income will be divided as follows:
  • 10% Set up and registration expenses (printing, stationery, postage etc.)
  • 30% Realtors (either as individuals or individuals within a Company)
  • 30% NHAHA (Depot Restoration Fund)
  • 30% Sharefair (running expenses, fuel, vehicles etc.)

HOW TO BECOME PART OF THIS PROGRAM - Whether an individual Realtor, or one of a group within a Company. You need to complete your own registration form. Photocopies of forms are acceptable. You will then be issued an identification reference number that ensures your payment of all monies due. In order to keep records manageable, the Realtor’s 30% of income will be shared equally between all registered and qualified supporters and will be paid out monthly. This will ensure fair distribution of funds.

As with any charitable program, the project itself generates costs that have to be met. There are transport, fuel, labor expenses plus commissions to be met. However, the NHAHA Sharefair Program has been set up to guarantee that between 30% and 60% of income generated goes directly to the 1895 Wabash Railroad Restoration Project. With your support the NHAHA is heading into a busy and exciting phase that will benefit thousands of people, both residents and visitors to this community.
